In a single paragraph, a commenter destroys the National Journal's Matthew Cooper and his 'no voting fraud' fantasies

Writing at the hard left National Journal, someone named "Matthew Cooper" (if that is his real name), proffers the insane notion that vote fraud really isn't a concern in the U.S.

...voter-ID laws generally represent an answer in search of a problem. There just isn't much evidence of voter fraud...

...Civil-rights groups have been apoplectic about these laws, saying that they are discriminatory. And they would seem to have a pretty good case, as there's no fraud epidemic and those who would have the hardest time complying with the law are poor and minorities. That's because minorities and the poor are much less likely to have the kind of government-issued photo IDs that some states require...

Commenter Raphael Semmes shreds Cooper's nonsense:

This article makes me lose respect for your publication. Most democracies in the world require a photo voter ID, and it is part and parcel of democracy. I have personally been an accredited international election observers in six foreign elections where the country had long required photo ID to vote. There was no suggestion at any time from ANY side that this produced any ''vote suppression'' whatsoever. What it produced was an honest vote. Republicans are quite right to protect our election process, and Democrats are scoundrels to demagogue this issue. I have also worked in an election campaign, in the 4th district of North Carolina in 1972, where the election was stolen by voter fraud, so I get the fact that this is a problem that needs to be corrected.

It would seem Cooper missed the story about the "Mississippi NAACP leader sent to prison for 10 counts of voter fraud."

And the fact that more than 50 people employed by or linked with ACORN have been convicted of voter fraud.

During the 2008 election cycle alone, ACORN was linked to as many as 600,000 bogus voter registrations. Combined with their tactics of encouraging early voting and use of absentee ballots, it is an indisputable fact that ACORN was and is responsible for widespread election fraud.

17 seconds using Google would have allowed an honest journalist to investigate vote fraud (the elections of JFK and LBJ being archetypes of Democrat vote fraud).

But because this is National Journal -- and some hack named "Matthew Cooper" -- we're talking about, any connection to the truth is purely coincidental.

Related: If you read the list of things you need an ID to do, you would -- if you had an ounce of intellectual honesty -- admit that the entire bogus voter ID controversy is about one thing: the Democrats' insatiable desire to destroy the integrity of the ballot box.

Politico and Colin Powell: A Match Made in Intellectual Dishonesty Heaven

The outplacement service for The Washington Post is a website called Politico. It is, in short, the official newsletter of the Democrat National Committee and for certain leakers inside the RINO establishment.

Nothing illustrates the feckless nature of Politico and its Statist agenda better than a story this week headlined "Colin Powell slams North Carolina voting law."

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell bashed North Carolina’s recent voting law at a forum in the state Thursday, with the governor that signed the bill in the audience... Powell said the law harms the Republican Party...

The bill requires voters to show government-issued ID, shortens early voting and ends early pre-registration for teens, among other changes. Civil rights groups have already challenged the law in federal courts.

Thursday, Powell said the bill sends a bad message to minorities.

“What it really says to the minority voters is … ‘We really are sort-of punishing you,’” Powell said.

Powell also took aim at defenders of the law, including McCrory, who say such restrictions are necessary to stop voter fraud, which is hard to detect.

“You can say what you like, but there is no voter fraud,” Powell said. “How can it be widespread and undetected?”

I will not denigrate Colin Powell's service to this country, for which I offer my sincere thanks, but when it comes to matters of law and politics, he is a buffoon.

And, for someone who is so fixated on skin pigmentation rather than character, it's difficult to believe Powell missed the story about the "Mississippi NAACP leader sent to prison for 10 counts of voter fraud."

And the fact that more than 50 people employed by or linked with ACORN have been convicted of voter fraud.

During the 2008 election cycle alone, ACORN was linked to as many as 600,000 bogus voter registrations. Combined with their tactics of encouraging early voting and use of absentee ballots, ACORN is responsible for widespread election fraud.

17 seconds using Google would have allowed an honest journalist to quickly debunk Powell's nonsense. But since this is Politico -- and some hack named "Tal Kopan" (if that is his real name) -- we're talking about, any connection to the truth is purely coincidental.

LEVIN: If you oppose Voter ID then you oppose fair elections

I happened to be "debating" a liberal at the gym the other day and the topic of voter ID came up. This crackpot believes that requiring voter ID is somehow "suppressing the vote" (his words).

When I asked whether the TSA is suppressing airline passengers, or the liquor stores are suppressing whiskey sales, or states are suppressing driving, his response was the typical Leftist gibberish.

He brought his heels together, did a mock Seig Heil, and affected: "Let me zee yore paperz" -- with the obligatory Hitler accent.

Do they grow these coconuts at some kind of Alinsky farm?

Last night, Mark Levin addressed the issue of voter ID in his usual succinct and effective manner.

Why does the government issue photo IDs? It’s not the private sector issuing them, it’s not the [Ku Klux] Klan issuing them. The government is issuing voter ID so the government can know who you are. Now why does the government want to know who you are? Because they want to know who they are giving driver's licenses to; if a police officer stops you they want to know who you are. They want to know if you have insurance. They want to know your age if you want to buy booze. And I can go on and on. There wouldn’t be government-issued photos IDs but for the government.

So my question is [this]: Is the government – are all state governments racist because they are requiring you to have a photo ID, that is a photo with your pigmentation on it? I mean, this is so asinine what the Left is up to in this administration.

You know what it is? Let’s just be honest, they want to defend fraud. They want to defend fraud. You can’t get on an airplane without a government issued ID. You can’t buy booze without a government issued ID. You can’t lease an apartment without a government issued ID. You can’t do damn near anything without a government issued ID.

Except vote! Anyone can vote without a photo ID at the polls!

Have you ever tried to check into a hotel without a government ID? Have you ever tried to rent a car without a government ID? Don’t we hold voting, like, at the top? Haven’t we fought the civil rights movement for people to have the right to vote? Why is it ipso facto discriminatory against minorities for people to show an ID? If you have a specific case in which a state, a town, a county or somebody has discriminated against you because of your race, you can bring a federal lawsuit under the Voting Rights Act, still today and a state lawsuit under state voting rights acts, still today!

But voter integrity is something the Democrat party rejects. Because they want multiple voting. Because they want dead people voting.

Who uses it? The big cities use it, among others. When LBJ was running for president or first, for the Senate, it was rural areas that were using it.

So this isn’t some civil rights issue. This is to promote fraud.

It's just that simple: Why do governments issue IDs? Because they're racist?

Of course not.

Those who object to IDs for voting, as opposed to everything else that requires an ID, are aiding and abetting criminals. They are trying to destroy the integrity of the ballot box in America.

EXCELLENT NEWS: Only 20% of Ohio's registered voters are bogus!

For years, The New York Times-Democrat has been telling us that voter fraud is "a myth". Of course, they're called The New York Times-Democrat for a reason. Because vote fraud is real and it's spectacular.

Barack Obama defeated* Mitt Romney by 166,214 votes in Ohio in 2012. That’s out of 5,489,028 votes cast. So Obama’s victory margin was just 3 percent, 50 to 47 over Romney.

But 20% of Ohio’s voters should not be on the rolls at all, according to a story in the Columbus Dispatch.

...Ohio’s elections chief, Secretary of State Jon Husted, sought help from Attorney General Eric Holder to clean up the state’s roles. You may have guessed how that went, as Husted is a Republican.

In a Feb. 10 letter, he asked U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder for a personal meeting to discuss how to balance seemingly conflicting federal laws so he could pare Ohio’s dirty voter list without removing truly eligible voters.

Holder’s office has never replied.

Among the ineligible voters who remain on Ohio’s rolls include 1.8 million dead people and nearly 3 million who have registered to vote in multiple states. Both of these situations are ripe for voter fraud and it just so happens that fraud did occur in the last several Ohio elections, including 2008 and 2012. Obama won both of those.

Yes, vote fraud is real and it's integral to the operation of the Democrat Party.

You may recall, for instance, that crazy, whacky bunch of underage brothel enablers called "ACORN". Their modus operandi was simple: multiply thousands of bogus voter registrations, add in thousands of fraudulent absentee ballots and **poof!** Democrat Victory.

These bums need to be flushed out of office, pronto.

NEVADA VOTE-FRAUD SCANDAL: Union registering non-citizens to vote, dragging them to polls, and forcing them to vote Democrat

I thought vintage media and the Democrat Party (but I repeat myself) said that there was no proof of systemic vote fraud?

Perhaps they should inform Glenn Cook of the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Voter registration fraud is not a groundless conspiracy. It is not a hypothetical threat to election integrity.

In Nevada, a battleground state that could decide the presidency and control of the U.S. Senate, it is real.

Last week, I met with two immigrant noncitizens who are not eligible to vote, but who nonetheless are active registered voters for Tuesday's election. They said they were signed up by Culinary Local 226... [As] the election drew closer. Then the Culinary canvassers started seeking them out and ordering them to go vote.

One of the immigrants was visited at home by a Culinary representative and said the operative made threats of deportation if no ballot was cast.

...After a few days of early voting, the union knew the immigrants still hadn't voted. So union canvassers kept visiting.

One day, when a Culinary representative was told the immigrant wasn't a citizen and wouldn't vote, things got testy. The immigrant was "in so much trouble," the Culinary operative said, according to Brenda Moraine, a local immigrant advocate who was there... They're afraid of reprisals from the union, they're afraid of losing their jobs, and they're concerned that their signatures are on a government document [could lead to perjury charges]...

I verified their identities, their lack of citizenship and their status as active registered voters in Clark County... One of the immigrants validated my worst fears about Nevada's weak voter registration standards and voting safeguards...

"There are others," the immigrant said.

Other noncitizen Culinary workers are registered to vote?

"Yes."

...how many of these ineligible voters have done the Culinary's bidding and submitted ballots, whether out of ignorance or fear, and how many have the knowledge and courage to follow the law and stay away from the polls[?]...

In Nevada you never have to prove you're a citizen to register to vote or cast a ballot. Forget about showing government-issued photo identification at the polls, as several states now require. You don't have to show a photo ID at any point in the process. The immigrants I met could vote Tuesday just by showing a Culinary health insurance card and a power bill.

...I spoke with Yvanna Cancela, political director for the Culinary Local 226, on Friday about what these immigrants have experienced... Cancela asked me to identify the workers so the union might be able to learn which Culinary canvassers had made contact with them and who had registered them to vote. When I said I couldn't under the terms of my interview with the immigrants, she added that if they came forward, the union would take corrective action against those canvassers to make sure they understood the law...

Cancela did not know how many noncitizens are represented by the Culinary Local 226...

Earlier columns by Glenn Cook outlined how Nevada mails voter registration invitations to noncitizens, felons and the dead and how it facilitates vote fraud through ultra-lax identification requirements.

As Cook observes, Nevada's system makes it "exceedingly easy to cheat and gives political parties and politically active groups a powerful incentive to break the law without much risk of being caught."

Which perhaps explains Harry Reid's last-minute surge to beat Sharon Angle in 2010.

But don't worry: I'm sure Eric Holder will launch an investigation any minute now.

FROM THE PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT YOU ACORN: High-Level Obama Staffers Caught Abetting Vote Fraud

The Democrat Party -- and the Obama administration in particular -- is attempting to overwhelm the system with an epidemic of vote fraud schemes. From the people who brought you voter registration and absentee ballot fraud through ACORN; a Justice Department that attacks voter ID and the integrity of the ballot box; and the New Black Panthers intimidating voters at the polls comes a brand new threat:

Videographer James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas caught an official for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign helping who she thought was an Obama supporter set herself up to vote more than once in November.

Stephanie Caballero is the regional field director for Obama’s Organizing For America in Houston, Texas. Federal Election Commission documents show, according to Project Veritas, that Caballero is a “salaried employee of the DNC [Democratic National Committee].”

Caballero is caught on camera helping the young woman try to vote in Florida and Texas in the upcoming election... Caballero ... offers the videographer an excuse to get out of trouble is she gets caught committing voter fraud: “Come up with like if anyone checks say ‘I don’t know.’”

O'Keefe also punked the media in his report, saying this incident "wasn’t the only exchange we recorded".

“We visited Organizing For America voter registration tables around New York and Organizing For America headquarters around the country,” he said... The video then cuts to a montage of different clips of Obama campaign volunteers and staffers all over the country helping O’Keefe’s Project Veritas activists get set up to vote twice, a sign there’s likely more to come.

The video ends with a challenge for the media: “Put your reputation on the line, journalists. Say this is an ‘isolated incident.’”

Actually, that would have been a nice little trap to set for Axelrod and his henchmen in the media. Let them claim it was an "isolated incident" and then slam the door on their fingers with proof that OFA's crimes are widespread, systemic and -- perhaps -- encouraged by the very highest levels within the White House.

Eat More Chikin

Uncle Ben writes:

The anti-gay views openly espoused by the president of a fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches have run afoul of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a local alderman, who are determined to block Chick-fil-A from expanding in Chicago.

“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values,” Emanuel said Wednesday.

###

Chicago values? What would those be? Corruption, violence, inept government, voter fraud, bad baseball teams? The list practically writes itself.

Illinois blogger Marathon Pundit ruminates along similar lines.

What could go wrong? Washington State Partners With Facebook To Help Register Voters

Because the state of Washington has such a wonderful record when it comes to the integrity of the ballot box (***cough*** ***cough*** ***cough***), certainly nothing could possibly go wrong with this:

If you live in Washington state a new way to register to vote will soon by available. A Facebook app will reside on the Secretary of state’s page that will exist directly within Facebook. The AP reports that the app will be the results of collective efforts of Facebook, Microsoft and the state.

Washington will be the first state to offer voter registrations on Facebook. Users will have to click on the app and allow Facebook to access their information and will be required to also provide an ID card or drivers licence. The app will not have access to the state records, rather will overlay to simply add to the database. A “My Vote” site will also existe to help inform registrants about candidates and the issues. Washington’s co-director of elections, Shane Hamlin, stated:

"In this age of social media and more people going online for services, this is a natural way to introduce people to online registration and leverage the power of friends on Facebook to get more people registered..."

Our friends at what used to be called ACORN and the rest of the Democrat vote-fraud front groups are probably throwing parties as we speak.

My guess is that this app will be used as an avenue for rampant vote fraud. Imagine easy voter registration combined with copious numbers of bogus absentee ballots (which was the old ACORN modus operandi). No muss, no fuss, and Democrats just happen to "find" ballots whenever there is a close election.

I urge you, my friends, to wipe out the Democrat Party at the ballot box in November. Republicans aren't perfect -- to be sure -- but we fight one battle at a time. Last time I checked, Republicans don't embrace hard-core Communists (see: Van Jones, Anita Dunn, etc.) and avowed Socialists (see: Carol Browner, Lisa Jackson) in the party. Democrats do -- with pride.

So this modern, virulently radical, and flatly anti-American version of the Democrat Party needs to be wiped out -- politically -- like the infestation they are.

The Dissociative Press: No Longer in the News Business; Now Professionally Lying for Democrats

I'm not sure when the Associated Press (also known as the Dissociative Press, which is the term they prefer, I hear) decided to get out of the news business and into republishing Democrat National Committee press releases. But it's clear from the last couple of election cycles, that the transition occurred sometime before 2008.

Consider the latest lies promoted by the contemptible Eric Holder regarding voter ID:

Speaking to the NAACP in Houston Tuesday, Attorney General Eric Holder decried the state’s controversial voter ID law as a modern equivalent to Jim Crow-era poll taxes...

The state is trying to become the tenth to require photo identification to vote.

To a wave of applause, Holder said, “After close review, the department found that this law would be harmful to minority voters and we rejected its implementation.”

Of course, the nitwits at the Dissociative Press echo the official DNC talking points almost word-for-word:

Keesha Gaskins, a senior counsel at the Brennan Center who has opposed voter ID laws, said she believes the numbers are significant and also underestimate the impact of voter ID laws. She said those numbers don't take into account people who were discouraged from showing up to vote in the first place or who may be turned away by poll workers. Even voters in states with less-strict ID laws may not get the proper explanation about how the process works without ID... "These are still people who attempted to vote and who were unable to do so," Gaskins said. "When you compare that to the actual evidence of fraud, the difference is exponential."

Let's ignore, for the sake of argument, that you can't board a plane, buy alcohol, receive a welfare check, or even attend Holder's speech at the NAACP without a photo ID. No, just ignore that for the moment. Is vote fraud really so rare that the AP repeats this lie like the parakeets they are?

Debunking the DNC talking points requires a lot of difficult research -- using a spanking-new tool called Google -- apparently unfamiliar to the nincompoops at the AP.

• 600,000 fraudulent voters nationwide: In 2008, a study by PJM estimated that nearly half of the 1.3 million voters registered by Acorn, the Democrat-linked criminal front group, were bogus.

• Washington Governor's Race: In 2004, Dino Rossi, the Republican candidate, won the state of Washington's governorship by a narrow margin. But that victory proved short-lived. Election officials: (a) discovered uncounted ballots weeks and months after the election; (b) counted votes from people without valid registrations; and (c) permitted "felons without voting rights, as well as a few dead people, to cast ballots". After the recounts, Rossi lost by a mere 133 votes.

• Thousands of fraudulent voter registrations discovered in Nevada: "[In 2009,] Nevada officials charged Acorn, its regional director and its Las Vegas field director with submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration forms last year. Larry Lomax, the registrar of voters in Las Vegas, says he believes 48% of Acorn's forms "are clearly fraudulent." On Thursday, prosecutors in Pittsburgh, Pa., also charged seven Acorn employees with filing hundreds of fraudulent voter registrations before last year's general election."

• The Al Franken Senate "Victory": in 2008, After initially leading failed radio host Al Franken by 725 votes, incumbent Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota ended up losing the race after a series of bizarre recounts. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that "the state Canvassing Board approved the use of Election Day results for 133 Minneapolis ballots that can't be found and also recommended that counties sort and count absentee ballots that were mistakenly rejected." This decision gave Franken most of his winning margin. In Ramsey County, "the recount showed that there were 171 more ballots than recorded votes", yet the ballots were counted, and Franken picked up nearly 40 more votes.

• Up to 200,000 bogus voters in Ohio: In 2008, a Democrat Secretary of State apparently committed to rampant vote fraud "streamlined" the voter registration process. As a result, over 600,000 new Ohio voter registrations were obtained, but the Secretary of State refused to use verification databases to validate the registrations. She later confessed that 200,000 registrations failed to match driver's license, social security and other database checks. Later, a federal judge ruled she was breaking federal law by failing to perform the verification and blocking voter validation.

Oh, and AP hacks: this list is by no means complete. It's what I found in an exhaustive, 17-minute search.

As a result of your obvious incompetence, I'm offering free classes on how to use Google. Email me for a schedule and required study material, schmucks.

Gov. Rick Scott: Florida Sues DHS to Release Its List of Ineligible Voters

The way I read this story, either the Department of Homeland Security believes its database is wildly inaccurate or it's trying to encourage vote fraud. And I think we all know which is really the case.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) said he will sue the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to move forward with his controversial attempt to purge the voter rolls in his state of ineligible voters.

“I have a job to do to defend the right of legitimate voters,” Scott told Fox News on Monday. “We’ve been asking for the Department of Homeland Security’s database, SAVE, for months, and they haven’t given it to us. So this afternoon, we will be filing a lawsuit, the secretary of State of Florida, against the Department of Homeland Security to give us that database. We want to have fair, honest elections in our state and we have been put in a position that we have to sue the federal government to get this information.”

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner produced the lawsuit, filed in Washington, D.C. district court on Monday, shortly after, along with a statement.

“For nearly a year, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has failed to meet its legal obligation to provide us the information necessary to identify and remove ineligible voters from Florida’s voter rolls,” Detzner said. “We can’t let the federal government delay our efforts to uphold the integrity of Florida elections any longer. We’ve filed a lawsuit to ensure the law is carried out and we are able to meet our obligation to keep the voter rolls accurate and current.”

Given the latest Zogby data -- which shows that disillusioned young voters are dropping out of the political process -- it's clear that President Axelrod will manufacture votes any which way he can.

And if that means counting the votes of illegal aliens, felons and the deceased, well, then so be it. Because that's the way the Chicago Machine rolls.

We are now watching the Democrat Party implode, right before our eyes

What would you call a General who abandoned his troops on the battlefield? I would call him "General Obama". The worst president in American history (Jimmy Carter just breathed a sigh of relief) -- who has set the country up for both fiscal and national security disasters -- is literally tearing the Democrat Party apart.

More interested in protecting his own job, he stayed away from Wisconsin during the entire recall fight (which was lost by the Left, badly).

And the Clinton wing of the Democrat Party continues to lob grenades at Obama, undermining his bleak message of scapegoating and diversion with shiny objects ("Look over there -- it's a woman who can't get free contraceptives!"). Consider the following instances of subtle rebellion:

• Former Clinton Adviser Lanny Davis Goes Off On Obama Aides: “You Have Vicious People Who Are Working For The President” - "It may be meltdown unless they come to their senses. Why would they want to create enemies, or depict people as enemies: who are their friends?"

• Clinton's Tax-Cut Position Undercuts Obama Stance - "Former Democratic President Bill Clinton suggested Tuesday that Congress temporarily extend all the Bush-era tax cuts, undercutting President Barack Obama's position that the rates on upper-income Americans should rise at year's end."

• Ed Rendell: Obama ‘hurt by being a legislator only’ before presidency - "Former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell... made his latest swipe at the president Thursday morning in an interview on CBS’s “This Morning.” ... Asked by host Charlie Rose whether he thought Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton would have handled the presidency differently from Obama, Rendell responded that he thought Clinton “would’ve come in with a lot more executive experience... I think the president was hurt by being a legislator only.” Rendell said."

• Bill Clinton On Romney's Bain Ties: 'This Is Good Work' - "During an appearance on CNN on Thursday night, Bill Clinton weighed in on presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's former private equity firm, Bain Capital, which has come under scrutiny in the campaign... "I don't think we ought to get into a position where we say this is bad work," Clinton said. "This is good work." ... Clinton characterized Romney's career as "sterling.""

• Booker's big mouth ruins relationship with Obama, Cabinet hopes - "Thinking highly of [Newark Mayor Cory] Booker, Obama’s campaign asked him to appear on “Meet the Press” on May 20 to act as a mouthpiece, but he proceeded to eviscerate one of the president’s key campaign themes... Booker told a national TV audience the president’s attacks on Mitt Romney’s record at private-equity firm Bain Capital were “nauseating” and made him “very uncomfortable.” ... “He’s dead to us,” one ranking administration official said of the prevailing feelings at the White House and Obama headquarters in Chicago."

• Deval Patrick, Democratic Governor, Creates Obama Campaign Headache By Defending Bain - "Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick ended up defending Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Thursday during TV appearances in which the Democratic politician was supposed to be serving as a surrogate for President Barack Obama. Patrick... applauded Boston-based Bain Capital, implicitly criticizing the Obama campaign's attacks on Romney's record at the private equity firm."

In short, the Democrat knives are out for Obama. But why is all of this happening now?

Because the Clinton Wing of the Democrat Party is astute enough to know what's coming. I believe we are watching the first signs of a political tsunami. In state after state, Barack Obama has marshaled only 60% of the vote... as an incumbent president in the Democrat freaking primaries.

That's not to say any of this will be easy. It will be a pitched political battle, with every dirty trick, every left-wing media "October Surprise" hit-job, and every illegal voting gambit known to man. It will take all of us, working as hard as we can, to educate our family members, our friends, our neighbors and our colleagues and to ensure that the margin of victory surpasses what I like to call "The Holder Margin".

But I feel, deep in my gut, that a Tsunami is about to wash across the American landscape like nothing any of us have ever seen before.

And after the Marxist Left splinters the Democrat Party into tiny little shards, it will be time for we Constitutional Conservatives to take on our next challenge.

Because our work won't be done.

Our next task will be to replace the cowardly, Rockefeller-style leadership of the Republican Party with patriots who are more interested in saving the country than their own pathetic hides. Our next task is to continue to put the United States back on the road of Constitutionalism, the greatest system of government ever devised by man.

Hey, don't worry about the Dept. of Injustice interfering in Wisconsin's election: John Boehner just put Eric Holder on 'Double Secret Probation'

What will it take for House Speaker John Boehner to go after the most malevolent and lawless attorney general in American history? Not, apparently, helping directly facilitate the murders of two U.S. law enforcement personnel and 300 Mexican nationals.

How about Eric Holder dispatching his Department of Justice to the racist hotbed of... Wisconsin for a bogus "election monitoring" stint?

Typical Democrat strategy, why wait until the votes are counted? We already know we want a recount, if we don't win! "Wisconsin recall: Democrats prepare for recall recount" That's the mark of a sore losers party; Democrats are that. Sadly, their whiny persistence does pay off on the margins. Politics is getting increasingly worse in America.

Today is the day and I can't say I'm thrilled about this development. The right doesn't have much faith in Holder's DOJ for good reason. Can you say, Fast and Furious?

...Frankly, the entire thing is a fiasco, with much of it going ignored beneath the headlines.

John Boehner is a coward and a disgrace.

And he must be replaced as House Speaker by a conservative in November.

Eric Holder and the Strange Case of Endemic Racism

Attorney Generic Eric Holder once again leveled charges of endemic racism against a state, this time accusing Florida of disenfranchising minorities by requiring photo identification and attempting to clean up voter rolls.

Holder asserted that requiring a valid ID to vote is racist, stating, "In my travels across this country, I've heard a consistent drumbeat of concern from citizens, who—often for the first time in their lives—now have reason to believe that we are failing to live up to one of our nation's most noble ideals... some of the achievements that defined the civil rights movement now hang in the balance."

Holder also pointed to union elections as bastions of Jim Crow-style racism, because they require IDs in order to vote.

As for the TSA, which requires IDs for air travelers, Holder termed it a "cauldron of racial injustice."

Holder also pilloried the liquor store industry for its discriminatory policies of requiring identification in order to buy alcohol.

And the attorney general saved some of his harshest vitriol for the military, observing that recruiting offices' outrageous requirements for IDs had set a terrible precedent, one which would have outraged Dr. King.

The Social Security Administration didn't escape Holder's attention; he described it as a "factory for racial discrimination."

Actually, Eric Holder didn't say any of those things -- except for that first statement, concerning his hatred of the requirement for voter IDs. Eric Holder despises the sanctity of the ballot box, because he would never go after the military, the TSA, liquor stores, et. al. for their practices of requiring identification.

He also knows that the Supreme Court has already ruled, in a 6-3 decision, that requiring IDs of voters is not an undue burden.

Eric Holder, in short, wants to taint the vote. He has turned out to be the most malevolent and lawless attorney general in modern American history. He makes John Mitchell look like an Eagle Scout. Mitchell didn't institutionalize lawlessness. Holder has. And he must be held to account.

Hilarious: Michigan Democrat Caucus Requires... Voter ID

I'm assuming the fine, upstanding hippies writing "progressive news and commentary" at Eclectablog alerted Eric Holder's Department of Justice.

This Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon, Michigan Democrats will hold caucuses around the state to choose Barack Obama as the Democratic candidate for president in 2012. While this may seem like a formality, there’s a bit more to it than that so you should plan to attend the caucus in your area on Saturday morning.

The caucuses give Democrats a chance to meet, discuss the election ahead, meet local candidates in an easy, conversational setting and to learn about the various ballot measures for petitions are currently being circulated. At some caucus sites, local candidates will give a brief speech about themselves. You’ll likely have petitions available to sign and you’ll get a chance to connect with other Democrats in your area.

....You will be asked to sign a statement saying your are participating as a Democrat. Please bring an id (photo id is not required.)

...NOTE: YOU MUST GO TO THE SPECIFIC CAUCUS FOR YOUR AREA ONLY! You can find the caucus locations for every Congressional District (CD) in Michigan HERE. There are around 200 caucus sites around Michigan.

Can you believe all of the rules and procedures required to participate in the Democrat caucus?

Haven't these racists heard that requiring ID and prior registration prevents minorities, illegal immigrants and the dead from voting?

I suggest rallying Al Sharpton and the New Black Panthers to protest this madness.

Gee, I wonder what this Democrat official was going to do with the personal information of 228,000 Medicaid recipients?

Kids, can you say "vote fraud"?

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - State Law Enforcement Division agents have arrested a man they say transferred thousands of confidential state Medicaid records to his personal email account.

Christopher Lykes, 36, of Swansea is charged with five counts of medically indigent act confidentiality violation and one count of disclosure of confidential information... The agency revealed Thursday that 228,435 Medicaid records were taken since January... The documents included names, phone numbers, addresses, birth dates, Medicaid ID numbers and in some cases Social Security numbers.

According to SLED, at least one other party received this data from Lykes. It has not been made public yet who this third party was.

Oh. Did I mention this?

...News 19 discovered a connection between Lykes and two Richland County [Democrat] lawmakers, Sen. Joel Lourie and Sen. Darrell Jackson.

...Lykes has also served as an executive committeeman of the Lexington County Democratic Party.

Well, knock me over with a feather. A Democrat. Involved with vote fraud? Say it ain't so!

It gets better. There was also an attempted -- and, predictably, bungled -- coverup by Democrat Party officials:

...According to the Republican Party, Dick Harpootlian and his liberal minions “scrubbed” the official S.C. Democratic Party website of Lykes’ name. An April 18 screencapture shows Lykes as a Lexington Democratic Party Executive Committee contact, but his name is missing from an April 19 screencapture. Lykes was arrested on April 18.

...Lexington County Democratic Party chair Kathryn Hensley notes that Lykes had been an active member of the Lexington County Dems. Lykes previously served as a precinct officer, but Hensley says he no longer holds that position.

Every time I think Democrats have hit bottom with their vote fraud efforts -- from ACORN to Eric Holder's despicable attacks on voter ID -- I find out that bottom is a relative term.

David Axelrod pulls a Hilary Rosen, Accidentally Endorses Mitt Romney

Methinks David 'Red-Diaper Baby' Axelrod just made a boo-boo:

Breaking news with a hat tip to Kevin Eder for highlighting it for me:

David Axelrod, Chief Strategist for President Barack Obama, endorsed Mitt Romney for President on Fox News Sunday this morning. He told Chris Wallace, “The choice in this election is between an economy that produces a growing middle class and that gives people a chance to get ahead and their kids a chance to get ahead and an economy that continues down the road we’re on.”

That is precisely right and precisely what Mitt Romney’s campaign has been telling people. Good to see David Axelrod agrees.

Here are the key bits of the transcript.

WALLACE: And that is, David, if I may, I wanted to ask you in the final question I have. In one paragraph, two or three sentences, what's the choice in this election?

AXELROD: The choice in this election is between economy that produces a growing middle class and that gives people a chance to get ahead and their kids a chance to get ahead, and an economy that continues down the road we are on, where a fewer and fewer number of people do very well, and everybody else is running faster and faster just to keep pace.

We need to take that first route that honors our fundamental economic values, the values that made this country great. And we need to do some things to promote that kind of economy. We can't sit back and go back to the same failed policies that were so disastrous in the last decade.

Looks like Axelrod just pulled a Hilary Rosen.

Breaking: Eric Holder Levels Racism Charges at SAT and ACT Tests for Requiring Photo IDs

Attorney General Eric Holder used the announcement that the SAT and ACT tests would require photo ID to pillory the collegiate testing process as "racist and discriminatory."

Holder asserted that requiring a valid ID to take an entrance exam is racist, stating, "...today, a growing number of students are worried about the same disparities, divisions, and problems that Dr. King fought throughout his life to address and overcome."

Actually, Eric Holder didn't say any of those things, but for some reason he hates photo ID requirements for voters. Eric Holder despises the sanctity of the ballot box, because he would never go after the military, the TSA, liquor stores, et. al. for their practices of requiring identification. Eric Holder, in short, wants to taint the vote.

No, Eric Holder is the most malevolent and lawless attorney general in American history. He makes John Mitchell look like an Eagle Scout. And I can't wait for Congress to get to the bottom of his involvement with Operation Fast and Furious.

Eric Holder Finds Endemic Racism Laced Throughout American Society

Attorney General Eric Holder used the occasion of Martin Luther King's birthday this weekend to lobby against the integrity of the ballot box, just weeks after his Justice Department blocked South Carolina's voter ID law from taking effect.

Holder asserted that requiring a valid ID to vote is racist, stating, "...today, a growing number of citizens are worried about the same disparities, divisions, and problems that Dr. King fought throughout his life to address and overcome."

The Social Security Administration didn't escape Holder's attention; he described it as a "factory for racial discrimination."

Actually, Eric Holder didn't say any of those things -- except for that first statement, concerning his hatred for the requirement for voter IDs. Eric Holder despises the sanctity of the ballot box, because he would never go after the military, the TSA, liquor stores, et. al. for their practices of requiring identification. Holder Justice Department to begin investigating... Voter ID laws

Although it would seem -- curiously! -- that the New Black Panthers have once again escaped scrutiny.

The Obama administration on Tuesday will wade into the increasingly divisive national debate over new voting laws in several states that could depress turnout among minorities and others who helped elect the president in 2008.

A dozen states this year tightened rules requiring voters to present state-issued photo identification at the polls, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Although Democratic governors vetoed four of the measures, liberal and civil rights groups have been raising alarms about the remaining laws, calling them an “assault on democracy” and an attempt to depress minority voter turnout.

Supporters of the tighter laws say they are needed to combat voter fraud.

With the presidential campaign heating up, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. will deliver a speech Tuesday expressing concerns about the voter-identification laws, along with a Texas redistricting plan before the Supreme Court that fails to take into account the state’s burgeoning Hispanic population, he said in an interview Monday...

Meanwhile, Senator John Cornyn has warned Holder not to mess with Texas' voter ID law.

Texas Sen. John Cornyn sent a clear message to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder this afternoon: Don’t mess with Texas’ voter identification law... “Voter identification laws are constitutional and necessary to prevent fraud at the ballot box,” Cornyn said.

The San Antonio Republican, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, made his comments hours before Holder is scheduled to speak at the Lyndon B. Johnson Library in Austin. Holder is planning to criticize “voter ID” laws passed by Republican legislatures in states including Texas.

Democrats say the laws are designed to reduce minority voter turnout in the 2012 election. But Cornyn said President Obama is the one who’s politicizing the issue.

“Facing an election challenge next year, this administration has chosen to target efforts by the states to protect the democratic process,” Cornyn said. “They would do well instead to focus on job creation, the economy, and reducing our national debt.”

Oh, and the examples of vote fraud are real and they're spectacular:

Never mind the fact that Mississippi NAACP leader Lessadolla Sowers was recently sentenced to 50 years in prison for vote fraud, that the now-defunct ACORN recently received the maximum fine possible for vote fraud by a Nevada judge or that Holder’s own Justice Department is accused of making a sweetheart settlement with members of the New Black Panther Party who were accused of voter intimidation in Philadelphia on Election Day 2008.

This is all part of the Obama administration's plan to erode the integrity of the ballot box, Chicago-style, prior to the 2012 election.

Actions like this, along with his direction of "Operation Fast and Furious" and his stonewalling of the Kagan health care memos, highlight the need for the House Judiciary Committe to begin impeachment proceedings against Eric Holder.

The most lawless attorney general in American history needs to be held to account.
