Steve McIntyre, who operates the site climateaudit.org [was] inspecting historical temperature graphs [and] noticed a strange discontinuity, or "jump" in many locations, all occurring around the time of January, 2000. ![]() NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place. 1921 takes third. If you're waiting to see this reported in the New York Times, don't hold your breath. Unless you're being driven around on Martha's Vineyard by a Kennedy.
Al Gore has already apologized for the entire "global warming" fiasco. He was recently quoted as saying, "What? You haven't made a mistake? My bad! Is that apology sufficient? My bad!"
