JUST PERFECT: Bloomberg press conference to promote gun confiscation points hundreds of firearms at reporters

Just when you think Bloomberg -- the idiot mayor, not the news service -- has reached the height of stupidity, he pulls something like this.

Charles W. Cooke at National Review Online found this headdesk moment in the twitter feed of J. David Goodman, the NYPD police reporter for the New York Times. Goodman covered a joint NYPD press conference featuring Mayor Michael Bloomberg today that saw hundreds of guns pointed directly at the audience...

...While we hope that the NYPD had the good sense to clear each and every firearm on display, what they failed to do is as undeniable as it is unforgivable. They clearly left magazines in, with bolts closed, on numerous firearms pointing at the press...

...At least one of the guns picture above, third up from the bottom on the left, clearly has the bolt-closed and the safety off as it points towards the assembled reporters.

I've concluded there are three levels of liberal idiocy: there's stupid. There's really stupid. And there's Bloomberg stupid.

But... But... But... No One Needs More Than 10 Rounds per Magazine!

Except, of course, those who live in the real world:

Two NYPD Cops Fire 84 Rounds at Murder Suspect

A man who allegedly killed his 13-year-old half-sister survived a fusillade of bullets from New York City police officers early Tuesday, after pointing his pistol at officers.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 2971 Eighth St. in Harlem at 3:27 a.m. Tuesday.

Steven Murray, 28, had allegedly shot his mother Christine Fryar, 44, and her daughter Annie, according to the NYPD. Paramedics arrived to find the daughter dead with a gunshot wound to the head. The mother, who was also shot in the head, was transported to Harlem Hospital, and is listed in critical condition.

Police eventually confronted Murray, who was running through the surrounding neighborhood. The officers pursued Murray on foot and returned fire after he fired one shot.

NYPD Sgt. Alexander Mesa fired 39 shots, and Officer Joseph Robinson got off 45 rounds. Murray was hit 14 times, and refused to drop his weapon, reports the New York Daily News.

Murray has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Shhh: no one tell the would-be tyrant Andrew "Architect of Ruin" Cuomo.

Bloomberg Weighs in on Respecting the Rights of the People

And by Bloomberg, I mean the crackpot mayor, not the news service.

And Mayor Bloomberg would like to lecture us on respecting people's rights, to wit:

Let me clarify: Bloomberg urges respect for certain classes of people, unless those people are drinking 20-ounce sodas, consuming salt, eating fast food, taking prescription painkillers, or using styrofoam cups.

In which case New York City's pint-sized, would-be dictator will put his foot down... on you.

NV Gov. Sandoval delivers sharp, openhanded, stinging slap to pint-sized, would-be dictator Michael Bloomberg

Here's a little bit of good news for regular Americans -- not irregular Americans, progressives, drones and other kooks -- that might just bring you a smile. Yesterday marked a particularly nice victory for gun rights and an especially painful smackdown for Bloomberg (the scale-model Fuhrer, not the news service).

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval just vetoed SB 221, an unconstitutional, New York-style bill that would punish law-abiding citizens for exercising their Second Amendment rights.

Gov. Brian Sandoval vetoed a bill Thursday that would have required a background check almost any time a firearm changes hands in Nevada, carrying through on his earlier promises to kill legislation that attracted interest in the wake of the Connecticut school shooting and a rampage at a Nevada restaurant in 2011.

In his veto message, Sandoval said the universal background checks provision "imposes unreasonable burdens and harsh penalties upon law-abiding Nevadans, while doing little to prevent criminals from unlawfully obtaining firearms."

[It] would have required a background check almost any time a firearm changes hands — regardless of whether the exchange is permanent or a loan — and enacted certain improvements to laws relating to mentally ill people and guns... Sandoval praised the mental health reporting requirements in his veto message, but the hotly contested background checks provisions constituted an "erosion of Nevadans' Second Amendment rights."

...It is a significant defeat for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun control advocacy group, Mayor's Against Illegal Guns, which spent hundreds of thousands of dollars working to get the bill passed.

The group bought numerous ads on social media sites, news websites and television, in addition to mailing out materials attacking select lawmakers who voted against the bill during the session. Video ads pressuring Sandoval to sign the bill surfaced immediately following the Assembly nod of approval.

...Notably absent in the veto message was any mention of the call records to this system. In the days leading up to the veto, tens of thousands of calls were being registered daily — with about three callers urging a veto for every one caller supporting the bill.

The NRA notes that it took "an extraordinary grassroots effort, thousands of concerned Nevadans called their representatives and Governor Sandoval's office in Carson City to oppose this legislation and remind those lawmakers that their duty is to protect our rights."

Well done, citizens of Nevada. And well done, Gov. Sandoval. We salute you.

Mayor Bloomberg Celebrates Another Gun Control Success Story: Only 25 Shot, 6 Fatally in 48 Hours in NYC

We've covered ad nauseum the failures of gun control in virtually every large, Democrat-controlled city in America. In Chicago, for instance, there are so many unsolved murders, the city's posting photos of unclaimed bodies on its website.

Bloomberg -- the idiot mayor, not the news site -- is one of the nation's foremost and hypocritical gun control advocates. Hypocritical because, while he endlessly lobbies to take away your right to self-defense, he surrounds himself at all times with a half-dozen armed guards. Because he's more valuable than you or I, presumably.

Now Bloomberg's gun-control nirvana is quickly transforming itself into the south side of Chicago as evidenced by last weekend's spate of violence:

Mayhem in the city: 25 people shot in 48 hours

Three killed Sunday after three were killed Saturday. One of the wounded includes an 11-year-old girl who will never walk again.

Violence surged like the mercury Sunday, with three more fatalities from gun violence — and eight others wounded in shootings — bringing the total number of bullet-riddled in the city to 25 in less than 48 hours...

...Sunday’s first fatality was Ivan Martinez, 21, who was approached around 3:25 a.m. by a 20-year-old gunman and a woman at E. 139th St. near Brook Ave. in the Bronx, police said... The gunman shot Martinez once in the head and ran off with the woman.

...In the second fatal attack, a man in his 40s was gunned down during an argument in East Harlem around 1:20 p.m. The victim, who has not been identified by police, was blasted multiple times in the torso on E. 105th St. near First Ave. Less than four hours later, Damien Powell, 25, was killed after he was shot in the chest outside the Albany Houses in Crown Heights, sources and witnesses said. The victim’s mother collapsed at the scene, where shell casings littered the street, witnesses said.

Three men were wounded in the wild Brooklyn shooting that left terrified bystanders ducking for cover... “I heard maybe 20 shots,” said Guy Pierre Louis, 50, who lives on Lenox Road. “I thought it was like the Fourth of July.”

Cops are now hunting for the alleged gunman, Kevon Brown, 30, who also shot at a pair of officers during the melee, police said. He’s described as 5-foot-10, 185 pounds.

And I love the liberal scranks who blame neighboring cities for their city's homicide rate. "The guns are all coming in from neighboring cities where they're easy to obtain," they'll whine, "that's why the murder rate is so high!"

You mean those same cities that are infinitely safer than Chicago?

Yeah, those.

Man, these people are stupid.

SHHH, NO ONE TELL CUOMO OR BLOOMBERG: Why one police officer carries 145 rounds of ammo with him every day

After a gun battle that changed his life, Sergeant Timothy Gramins dramatically upped the amount of ammunition he carries with him each and every day on the job. And no one tell the aspiring dictators Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg of New York: but Gramin also carries multiple high-capacity magazines.

An expert marksman, Gramins expended 43 rounds (of 47 he routinely carried), before taking down a single assailant. The murderous perp simply would not stop attacking, despite being shot 14 times with .45-cal ammo -- including six hits in supposedly fatal locations.

The most threatening encounter in Gramins’ nearly two-decade career with the Skokie (Ill.) PD north of Chicago came on a lazy August afternoon prior to his promotion to sergeant, on his first day back from a family vacation. [He heard an alert] that a male black driving a two-door white car had robbed a bank at gunpoint in another suburb 11 miles north and had fled... Unknown at the time, the suspect, a 37-year-old alleged Gangster Disciple, had vowed that he would kill a police officer if he got stopped.

...He was scarcely up to highway speed when he spotted a lone male black driver in a white Pontiac Bonneville and pulled alongside him. “He gave me ‘the Look,’ that oh-crap-there’s-the-police look, and I knew he was the guy,” Gramins said... The next thing he knew, bullets were flying. “That was four years ago,” Gramins said. “Yet it could be ten seconds ago.”

With Gramins following close behind, siren blaring and lights flashing, the Bonneville zigzagged through traffic and around corners into a quite pocket of single-family homes a few blocks from the exit. Then a few yards from where a 10-year-old boy was skateboarding on a driveway, the suspect abruptly squealed to a stop.

“He bailed out and ran headlong at me with a 9 mm Smith in his hand while I was still in my car,” Gramins said.

The gunman sank four rounds into the Crown Vic’s hood while Gramins was drawing his .45-cal. Glock 21.

“I didn’t have time to think of backing up or even ramming him,” Gramins said. “I see the gun and I engage.”

Gramins fired back through his windshield, sending a total of 13 rounds tearing through just three holes.

A master firearms instructor and a sniper on his department’s Tactical Intervention Unit, “I was confident at least some of them were hitting him, but he wasn’t even close to slowing down,” Gramins said.

The gunman shot his pistol dry trying to hit Gramins with rounds through his driver-side window, but except for spraying the officer’s face with glass, he narrowly missed and headed back to his car.

Gramins, also empty, escaped his squad — “a coffin,” he calls it — and reloaded on his run to cover behind the passenger-side rear of the Bonneville.

Now the robber, a lanky six-footer, was back in the fight with a .380 Bersa pistol he’d grabbed off his front seat. Rounds flew between the two as the gunman dashed toward the squad car.

Again, Gamins shot dry and reloaded.

“I thought I was hitting him, but with shots going through his clothing it was hard to tell for sure. This much was certain: he kept moving and kept shooting, trying his damnedest to kill me.”

In this free-for-all, the assailant had, in fact, been struck 14 times. Any one of six of these wounds — in the heart, right lung, left lung, liver, diaphragm, and right kidney — could have produced fatal consequences…“in time,” Gramins emphasizes.

...reaching either [of his long guns in the trunk] was impractical. Gramins did manage to get himself to a grassy spot near a tree on the curb side of his vehicle where he could prone out for a solid shooting platform.

The suspect was in the street on the other side of the car. “I could see him by looking under the chassis,” Gramins recalls. “I tried a couple of ricochet rounds that didn’t connect. Then I told myself, ‘Hey, I need to slow down and aim better.’ ”

When the suspect bent down to peer under the car, Gramins carefully established a sight picture, and squeezed off three controlled bursts in rapid succession.

Each round slammed into the suspect’s head — one through each side of his mouth and one through the top of his skull into his brain. At long last the would-be cop killer crumpled to the pavement.

The whole shootout had lasted 56 seconds, Gramins said. The assailant had fired 21 rounds from his two handguns. Inexplicably — but fortunately — he had not attempted to employ an SKS semi-automatic rifle that was lying on his front seat ready to go.

Gramins had discharged 33 rounds. Four remained in his magazine... Two houses and a parked Mercedes in the vicinity had been struck by bullets, but with no casualties...

Before the shooting, Gramins routinely carried 47 rounds of handgun ammo on his person, including two extra magazines for his Glock 21 and 10 rounds loaded in a backup gun attached to his vest, a 9 mm Glock 26.

Now unfailingly he goes to work carrying 145 handgun rounds, all 9 mm. These include three extra 17-round magazines for his primary sidearm (currently a Glock 17), plus two 33-round mags tucked in his vest, as well as the backup gun. Besides all that, he’s got 90 rounds for the AR-15 that now rides in a rack up front.

What the Statist fails to understand is that the law-abiding citizen deserves every bit of protection that a police officer does. Because if the citizen can't be trusted with firearms, why should the government?

Would-be Despot Michael Bloomberg Says That He and the Rest of Big Government Can Ignore the Constitution

Guest post by Investors Business Daily

Tyranny: New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says that in light of the Boston Marathon bombing, our interpretation of the Constitution will "have to change." Americans should be appalled at such a statement.

But they're not. His comments "we live in a complex world where you're going to have to have a level of security greater ... our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change" have drawn yawns.
More frightening than his statement is the nagging fact that the public has not risen up in opposition to his declaration. A free nation should respond to such a crude threat to its liberties with righteous anger.

But we're not such a free nation anymore. Long ago much of the country changed its interpretation of the Constitution. To many now, it simply means what they want it to mean, not what it actually says.

Limits have been ignored, federalism evaded, wealth seized and redistributed, property confiscated, private affairs invaded and businesses subjugated. Yes, we've even endured swarms of federal officers harassing our people, and eating out our substance.

These acts were done, however, quietly and gradually. No one announced that the Constitution was going to be violated, that our liberty would be infringed upon.

But Bloomberg, who doesn't care one hoot about constitutional or God-given liberties, telegraphs an intention to breach the Constitution and no one is scared?

Maybe that would change if the right questions were asked, such as:

Whose interpretation does the mayor suggest we follow? And if the question is simply which group gets to decide, then aren't we living in a land not of law but of force?

What about those who disagree with the new interpretations? Is it just tough luck for them?

Should the dissenters simply sit down, shut up and accept whatever the political elites hand down?

Bloomberg's explanation is that he merely wants to protect Americans from a "very dangerous world" where "we know there are people who want to take away our freedoms." Freedoms, Mr. Mayor, such as the choice of soft drink size, the voluntary and peaceful intake of salt and trans fats, or the right to own firearms?

Maybe there are enemies out there who want to take away our freedoms. But clearly, and sadly, we have political leaders who want to do the same thing.

Seems like terrorists win either way.

NEW SUPPORT GROUP: Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors

Please help. It's for the children.

Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors represents Americans united to fight the Bloomberg Gang, a band of organized criminal politicians. Originating in New York City, the Gang has recruited criminal mayors across the United States.

Some of the Gang's  members have been convicted of  assaulting officers and constituents, corruption, extortion, theft, obstruction of justice, bribery, perjury,  tax evasion, child porn, battery, and child molestation. They have attacked constituents and police officers, destroyed houses with sledge hammers, and even stolen gift cards donated for the poor. No crime is beneath them and no enormity beyond them.
The gang hides its intentions behind the deceptive title of "Mayors Against Illegal Guns." This criminal band  was organized by N.Y.  City  mayor Michael "Bloomie" Bloomberg, who is reported to have made  illegal gun purchases in several states, which interfered with  18 federal investigations.   No wonder that he and his illicit mayors would like to see us made helpless to resist their sociopathic drives.

We call upon Americans to unite against these thugs, and to demand that  the Department of Justice use its Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) powers to shut down "Mayors Against Illegal Guns."

Do not attempt to apprehend these mayors yourself. Call the authorities and leave the area. With alacrity.

TYRANNY: New Yorker faces three years in jail for drawing 'unlicensed gun' on home invader

How much more of this lawless insanity will New Yorkers tolerate?

There’s no Jessica’s Law in New York. Child pedophiles get shorter sentences than this...

But if you are George Bardwil and you are trying to protect yourself and your home, you face three years in jail because [your] gun was ‘unlicensed.’ George Bardwil allegedly pulled a .40-cal. Sig Sauer on the burglar. Without firing any shots, the burglar ran away like a little coward and Bardwil saved his home and himself. So what’s his reward? Possibly three years in jail.

###

Man faces 3 years in jail for pulling ‘unlicensed’ gun on burglar inside his home

A Manhattan millionaire faces three years in jail for drawing an unlicensed gun on a burglar inside his home.

George Bardwil, who owns linen company Bardwil Home, was in his E Street apartment when an intruder came into his home in January... Bardwil, 60, threatened the intruder with a loaded .40 cal Sig Sauer. The man fled and Mr. Bardwil called the police.

After showing the cops footage from his home surveillance cameras, they arrested him under suspicions of owning an illegal firearm... “There’s no dispute that George was being burglarized,” [his lawyer] said. “George had been the victim of multiple burglaries, and the DA’s office concedes that it was used in self defense.”

How many lawyers, politicians, judges and media hacks does it take to understand the Second Amendment?

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Judge tells scale-model, would-be dictator Napoleon Bloomberg to take his soda ban and stuff it

Major kudos are due Judge Milton Tingling, who metaphorically pimp-slapped the height-challenged mayor of New York.

A state judge on Monday stopped Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration from banning the sale of large sugary drinks at New York City restaurants and other venues, a major defeat for a mayor who has made public-health initiatives a cornerstone of his tenure.

The city is "enjoined and permanently restrained from implementing or enforcing the new regulations," wrote New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling, blocking the rules one day before they would have taken effect. The city's chief counsel, Michael Cardozo, pledged to quickly appeal the ruling.

In halting the drink rules, Judge Tingling noted that the incoming sugary drink regulations were "fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences" that would be difficult to enforce with consistency "even within a particular city block, much less the city as a whole."

...In his ruling, Judge Tingling found the Board of Health's mission is to protect New Yorkers by providing regulations that protect against diseases. Those powers, he argued, don't include the authority to "limit or ban a legal item under the guise of 'controlling chronic disease.' "

...Across New York City, restaurants, bars and movie theaters had already started bracing for the change... Brother Jimmy's BBQ, a chain with five locations in the city, had already ordered 1,000 new glasses for soft drinks at their five New York City locations. The restaurants serve soda in 24-oz. glasses, CEO Josh Lebowitz said earlier this month—8 oz. more than city's new rules.

Bloomturd must have had an inkling this decision was going to come down. On Sunday, visiting the little-known and lesser-watched CBS Sunday show -- which I believe is called Sunday Morning With Some Really Old Dude, if memory serves -- Bloomberg denied his ban was a ban.

New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg assured Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer that his soft-drink size restriction that goes into effect this week is just “portion control,” and not a ban...

He said that ... government “is reminding you what’s in your interest” as opposed to companies motivated by profits. He also told New Yorkers that “it’s totally your choice” how much soda you want to have, as long as they are willing to make multiple purchases of 16-ounce sodas.

Unfortunately for many businesses, the expensive changes to their business mandated by Mayor Mussolini had already taken their toll:

Monday is the last day New Yorkers will be able to buy super-sized sugary drinks at restaurants, movie theaters, sports venues and street carts in New York City.

The cola crackdown goes into effect on Tuesday. The new regulation puts a 16-ounce limit on sugary drinks and applies to both bottled and fountain drinks... establishments like Dunkin’ Donuts have posted colorful fliers explaining the complex rules surrounding coffee... For example, Lattes are exempt because they’re more than half milk and it’s OK for customers to fill their own cups of large coffee with all the sugar they want.

Starbucks announced it plans to continue offering 20 ounce venti-sized drinks because of the milk content. Like Dunkin’ Donuts, customers will also be able to add their own sugar to their coffee...

Worse still, Mini-Mayor had "plans to ambush stores with inspectors toting 17-ounce measuring cups":

Come Tuesday city inspectors will be armed with 17-ounce cups to police New York City Mayor Bloomberg’s controversial new law banning large sodas and other sugary drinks.

The Health Department will begin implementing routine inspections to make sure eateries, including sit down restaurants and fast food chains, are not selling sugary beverages in servings larger than 16 ounces.

Those inspectors will have specially ordered measuring cups to help them enforce the new rule, Deputy Health Commissioner Daniel Kass said in an affidavit recently filed as part of the legal challenge to Bloomberg’s anti-big-soda policy.

Soft-drink size is the mayor's top priority at the same time that the public school system for which he is responsible has an unbelievable 80 percent illiteracy rate.

This man exhibits all the traits of a very sick individual and I sincerely hope he seeks professional help.

THE TAKEOUT SOFT DRINK MENACE: Michael Bloomberg bans 2-liter soda bottles and mixers in nightclubs

I would love to get a psychiatric workup of New York City's troubled mayor. It would be fascinating to know more about his bizarre, maniacal need to control people, whether it's banning salt, or painkillers in hospitals, or guns, or even his penchant for distributing abortifacients to schoolchildren without informing parents.

Now the mayor's infamous war on soda has expanded:

Say goodbye to that 2-liter bottle of Coke with your pizza delivery, pitchers of soft drinks at your kid’s birthday party and some bottle-service mixers at your favorite nightclub.

They’d violate Mayor Bloomberg’s new rules, which prohibit eateries from serving or selling sugary drinks in containers larger than 16 ounces... Bloomberg’s soda smackdown follows his attacks on salt, sugar, trans fat, smoking and even baby formula.

...The city Health Department last week began sending brochures to businesses that would be affected by the latest ban, including restaurants, bars and any “food service” establishment subject to letter grades... And merchants were shocked to see the broad sweep of the new rules.

...Typically, a pizzeria charges $3 for a 2-liter bottle of Coke. But under the ban, customers would have to buy six 12-ounce cans at a total cost of $7.50 to get an equivalent amount of soda... It will also trash more plastic into the environment.

...And if you’re looking for a night of bottle service at a Manhattan hot spot, be warned: Spending $300 on a bottle of vodka no longer entitles you to a full complement of mixers... The carafes in which mixers are typically served hold 32 ounces, and the most common mixers — sodas, cranberry juice and tonic water — will be limited. Only water and 100 percent juice will be unlimited.

What's truly tragic about this brand of idiocy is how it distracts officials' attention from the city's real challenges.

Its welfare funds are being spent in strip clubs, porn joints, and liquor stores

It has $21 billion in pension obligations over the next 30 years

Its recent spate of hate crime and violence

But don't worry: banning 20-ounce sodas is just the first step to fixing the city's problems.

LOVE IT: Six Firearms Manufacturers Tell New York to Get Stuffed

Six companies have thus far informed New York officials that they will not sell goods to any police or government organizations in the state.

LaRue Tactical
Olympic Arms
Extreme Firepower
Templar Custom
York Arms
Cheaper than Dirt

[We join in the calls] for all American gun owners to pressure Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson and Glock to shut off sales to government agencies in New York State.

If you know executives in any of these companies, email them directly. If not, we’ve got some email addresses below for you... Keep it short and sweet. Long missives will not be read, so save your time for constructive endeavors.

Here’s a suggested message, tweaking on GRNC’s suggested message: We don’t live in a police state: If it can’t be sold to citizens, it won't be sold to State and local government.

Emails: publicsafetysales@sigsauer.com, dgrier@smith-wesson.com, LE.info@glock.us

The despicable, petty, half-pint tyrants of New York -- deeply flawed men like Andrew Cuomo and Michael Bloomberg -- are protected 24 hours a day by men with guns. But they want to deny you from enjoying those very same rights; the rights granted to us by God and codified in the nation's highest law!

Gun control isn't about guns. It's about control. And people like Bloomberg, who wake up each day with new ways to steal more and more of your liberty -- from salt, 16-ounce sodas, prescription painkillers and styrofoam cups, to name but a few -- are truly detestable.

It's high time everyone concerned with saving America steps up to the plate. For that reason alone, I salute these six companies. Make sure you give them your support and business.

UNBELIEVABLE: Bloomberg secretly distributed abortifacients to teens without telling parents: "population control on blacks and Latinos"

When it comes to Mayor Bloomberg, salt and 16-ounce sodas are out -- but abortifacients are in.

Plan B has become Plan A in the Bloomberg administration’s stealth war on teen pregnancy.

Handouts of the “morning-after pill” to sexually active students have skyrocketed under an unpublicized project in which health centers in public schools offer girls a full menu of free birth-control drugs and devices, records obtained by The Post show.

Last September, the city revealed it had started giving out Plan B and other birth control in the nurses’ offices of 13 high schools. At the time, officials said 567 girls had gotten Plan B... But the birth-control blitz was much bigger than the city had acknowledged. About 40 separate “school-based health centers” doled out 12,721 doses of Plan B in 2011-12, up from 10,720 in 2010-11 and 5,039 in 2009-10, according to the newly released data.

...The revelations stunned Mona Davids, president of the NYC Parents Union, whose 14-year-old attends a Manhattan high school... “I’m in shock,” she said. “What gives the mayor the right to decide, without adequate notice, to give our children drugs that will impact their bodies and their psyches? He has purposely kept the public and parents in the dark with his agenda... “This was population control on blacks and Latinos without our knowledge,” she said.

Plan B, which can block pregnancy if taken up to 72 hours after sex, is just one weapon in the city Department of Health’s arsenal for its Reproductive Health Project, an internal report reveals... Besides “emergency contraception,” about 40 school-based clinics have dispensed prescriptions for birth-control pills, intrauterine devices (IUDs), hormone-delivering injections and Patch and NuvaRing — covering a total 93,569 monthly cycles through June 2012, the report says.

This pint-sized, would-be dictator must have some deadly serious psychological issues.

I don't know this Jason Mattera fellow, but I like the cut of his jib

Now this right here is a real journalist.

In an explosive exchange outside the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Washington, D.C., security guards for billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg accosted senior Talk Radio Network investigative reporter Jason Mattera when he asked the mayor about his strong support for gun control.

In the video, Bloomberg is seen surrounded by security. Mattera approaches Bloomberg and asks, “In the spirit of gun control, will you disarm your entire security team?”

Bloomberg’s reply: “Uh, you, we’ll get right back to you.”

“Why can you defend yourself but not the majority of Americans?” Mattera asks as the mayor walks away. “Look at the team of security you’ve got. And you’re an advocate for gun control?”

The video then cuts to Mattera walking further down the street when one of the men guarding Bloomberg, identified as Officer Stockton NYPD, stops Mattera and asks to see his photo ID...

One rule for the elites, one rule for the peons.

After all, that's the evil that Statism always devolves into. Which is why these progressive miscreants continually lobby for more control, whether it's health care, guns, unions, education, or light bulbs.

They can't articulate any limits to the power and control they seek. They're making it up as they go along.

Their only goals are controlling you and solidifying their power, not about following the Constitution, not about following the law, not about honoring America's traditions or its moral code or its ethics.

It's about keeping a white-knuckled death grip on power that Bloomberg, Feinstein, Schumer, and Obama seek to hold over you, the individual. We are witnessing history here. It is our sacred duty to preserve this, the world's last best hope for liberty.

A PUBLIC SERVICE ADVISORY MESSAGE: From Mayor Bloomberg

This:

And speaking of the pint-sized, would-be dictator with a Napoleonic Complex, please consider:

Bloomberg: Restrict Painkillers in Hospitals

Some of the most common and most powerful prescription painkillers on the market will be restricted sharply in the emergency rooms at New York City’s 11 public hospitals, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday in an effort to crack down on what he called a citywide and national epidemic of prescription drug abuse.

Under the new city policy, most public hospital patients will no longer be able to get more than three days’ worth of narcotic painkillers like Vicodin and Percocet. Long-acting painkillers, including OxyContin, a familiar remedy for chronic backache and arthritis, as well as Fentanyl patches and methadone, will not be dispensed at all. And lost, stolen or destroyed prescriptions will not be refilled.

Yes, Mayor Bloomberg is one of the smartest men on the planet: he knows better than medical professionals how painkillers should be dispensed. He knows better than you how much salt you should consume. He even knows how large a soda you should drink

And, it goes without saying that he knows you should not be permitted to defend your family or yourself with a firearm.

Bloomberg is precisely the type of power-mad authoritarian that our Founders despised.

NICE JOB, BLOOMBERG: NYC welfare funds being spent in strip clubs, porn joints, liquor stores...

...to name but a few. And I refer, of course, to the sanctimonious schmuck of a mayor and not the news service.

A database of 200 million Electronic Benefit Transfer records from January 2011 to July 2012, obtained by The Post through a Freedom of Information request, showed welfare recipients using their EBT cards to make dozens of cash withdrawals at ATMs inside Hank’s Saloon in Brooklyn; the Blue Door Video porn shop in the East Village; The Anchor, a sleek SoHo lounge; the Patriot Saloon in TriBeCa; and Drinks Galore, a liquor distributor in The Bronx...
...One EBT machine is stationed inside Club Eleven, an infamous Hunts Point jiggle joint known as much for its violent history as its girls in pink thongs.

...Club Heat, another Bronx strip club that dispenses EBT cash, is also no stranger to violence. A 33-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head outside the club in December 2011.

Critics blasted the government for turning a blind eye to welfare’s sleazy money.

Yes, Mayor Bloomberg wants to regulate the size of soda cups, the use of salt and -- of course -- the ability of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves by carrying concealed weapons.

In the mean time, his city and state treasuries -- not exactly overflowing with cash at the moment -- are being looted while Bloomberg dreams up more failed, totalitarian plans.
