This chart illustrates the global search volume for the phrase John Edwards over the last 4-and-a-half years (via Google Insights).

The number of people searching for Edwards after the Rielle Hunter debacle broke dramatically outpaced all other searches including:

* Edwards named as VP candidate by John Kerry
* Edwards declaring himself a presidential candidate for '08
* Edwards introducing his smarmy "Two Americas" program while completing his 84,000 square-foot home.
